1. Who We Are
Little Lotus is a kids yoga and holistic wellness practice based in Dublin, Ireland, run by Lyndsey Moore. For any privacy questions, contact [email protected] or 083 421 4811.
2. What Information We Collect
We only collect information that parents/guardians or other adult visitors choose to give us through this website:
- Newsletter signup: your email address, so we can send you class updates, workshop dates, and shop launch news.
- Contact: if you email or call us directly, we'll have your email address, phone number, and whatever you tell us.
- Class booking / waitlist forms: our booking forms are Google Forms, completed by a parent or guardian. They ask for the child's name, date of birth, age and gender, the parent/guardian's name and contact details, an emergency contact, any medical conditions, allergies or injuries we need to know about, your photo-consent choice, and your signature.
- Website analytics: if you accept cookies, Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data (pages visited, general location, device type) to help us understand how the site is used.
We do not collect any information directly from children through this website — booking forms are completed by a parent or guardian on the child's behalf.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To send newsletter updates you've signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To respond to enquiries about classes, workshops, or the schools programme
- To run classes safely — registers, emergency contacts, and any medical needs you tell us about
- To understand and improve how the website is used
4. Legal Basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (newsletter signup, analytics cookies, photo consent), the performance of a contract with you (booking and running a class your child attends), or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you've sent us.
Health information (medical conditions, allergies, injuries) is special-category data under GDPR Article 9. We collect it only because you give us your explicit consent on the booking form, we use it only to keep your child safe in class, and we never use it for anything else.
5. Cookies
This site only sets analytics cookies (Google Analytics) if you accept the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. No cookies are set for advertising or tracking across other websites.
6. Who We Share Data With
- Google Forms / Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd) — hosts our class booking and waitlist forms and stores the responses
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) — anonymised website usage data, only with your consent
- Cloudflare — our website hosting and security provider
We never sell your data, and we don't share it for marketing by anyone else.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping afterwards. Booking and waitlist form responses are kept for as long as your child attends classes and for a reasonable period afterwards for insurance and record-keeping, then deleted. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention settings.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or ask us to delete your personal data, and to object to how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) if you have concerns about how your data is handled.
9. Children's Data
Little Lotus takes children's safety and privacy seriously. See our Child Safeguarding Policy for how we protect children during classes. Photos or videos of children are never taken or used without prior written consent from parents/carers and the school, as set out in that policy.
10. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if our data practices change.
