An after-school unwind

The Wednesday class in Raheny sits at 3pm on purpose. Children arrive straight from school still carrying the day — the noise, the sitting still, the friendship politics — and the hour is shaped around letting that go rather than asking them to be calm on command. It starts with movement and ends somewhere quiet.

In between it is playful poses, storytelling and breathwork, with a creative focus on chakra connection explained in words a child can use. Lyndsey brings in soothing sound elements to help build emotional resilience, and each child leaves with an affirmation card for the week, which is often what parents hear repeated back to them at home on a hard day.

Who it suits

Classes are for primary school-aged children, and groups are kept small. No previous yoga, no flexibility and no sporty streak is needed — the only thing asked is a genuine interest in learning yoga and mindfulness. Children who find big loud groups difficult often do well here precisely because the room is small and the pace is theirs.

ASD-friendly, and not as an afterthought

Little Lotus won Best Class for Inclusivity at the Tots Spots Awards 2026. Inclusion shows up in the setup, not the marketing: there is a sensory tent in every class, so a child who needs to step out for a few minutes can do that and rejoin when they are ready, without anyone making a thing of it. Tell Lyndsey about your child's needs on the booking form and she will plan for them before week one.

About Lyndsey

Lyndsey Moore is a mum of two and an experienced kids' yoga teacher, qualified and accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals. Her work is multi-sensory: alongside yoga she draws on play therapy skills, children's holistic sound therapy and Reiki Level 1 training, and she is a certified baby massage instructor with the IAIM. She is Garda vetted and fully insured, and Little Lotus has its own Child Safeguarding Policy in line with the Children First Act 2015.

How booking works

Places come off the class list. The booking form collects your child's details, an emergency contact, anything medical Lyndsey should know and your photo-consent choice — the things that need to be in place before a child steps on the mat. Once you have a place you will be told what to pay and how.
